Writing; Started a hometown, one page, hectograph powered paper in Lucan, Ontario in 1963. After ten or twelve editions, I quit publishing due to the trouble I was getting for what I was saying. In 67 I began writing for the Medway Magnet, a high school paper at Medway H.S., Arva, Ontario. 68 heralded the first of my stringer work for the Exeter Times Advocate (Exeter, Ontario) and the London Free Press (London, Ontario). I have had articles in numerous martial arts magazines and trade journals and dozens of newspapers since. I plan on publishing a memouirs book this year.
Photography; My first published photos were in 68 with the Exeter Times Advocate and the London Free Press. Since then I have been published in most of the vehicles my articles have appeared in. Did fashion photography in Vancouver for 7 years, shot in the Arctic for one year and now do various commercial assignements. I have a home studio and really enjoy this.
Martial Arts; Started in 1955 and still going strong. Competed for 30 years and was fortunate to win one or more majour title each and every year, including an 8 year stint kickboxing, undefeated. I now teach workshops and make instructional videos.
