Arthritis is a condition that affects the joints. Different people suffer from different types of arthritis; the most common forms of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common form and is not as painful compared to Rheumatoid arthritis which is more painful.

Osteoarthritis Is when the cartilage in the joint is worn away until it gets to a stage where the bones rub against each other causing inflammatory of the joints. This is painful and mainly occurs in the: hands, spine, knees and hips.

Rheumatoid arthritis unlike a physical wearing of the cartilage, Rheumatoid arthritis is where the immune system attacks the cartilage and again the inflammatory cause’s pain.

Pain in the Joints
Joint pain can be caused by a plethora of different catalysts. One major cause of joint pain comes after injury to the ligaments or tendons that surround a joint. Many people begin to experience chronic joint pain after a sprain or a strain. Depending upon the severity of the injury, the cartilage can also be affected. Inflammation and swelling from overuse is also a common cause for joint pain. Most people are already aware that pain can be caused by arthritis, but did you know that infection and even tumor can effect joint function and cause pain?

If you're one of the millions, over 20 million to be exact, who suffer with chronic joint pain and your daily activities, are being adversely impacted, then you're very likely searching for some joint pain relief. There are a wide variety of potential cures and treatments for your joint pain. Try one or try several until you've pinpointed your ideal joint pain relief

Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis goes by many names - degenerative joint disease, wear-and-tear-arthritis among them - but the facts remain. Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and affects an estimated 20 million Americans. Unlike other forms of arthritis, which are genetic, osteoarthritis can be linked to a number of causes - weight, age and injury among them. As with other forms of arthritis, there is no known cure for osteoarthritis, so recognizing the signs and symptoms of the disease early can be quite helpful in managing pain.

Symptoms
My first Gout experience occurred when I was in my early 30's. Though I'd rather forget that painful experience, I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was hanging out with some friends, indulging in the best salmon fillets Seattle had to offer, accompanied by some succulent, all-you-can eat shrimp (and believe me, I took the term all-you-can eat very seriously). I remember commenting and enjoying the food while looking out onto the pier when suddenly I felt as if a thousand bees had infiltrated my shoe and planned a mission of attack on my big toe. It actually started off as a tingling and numbing sensation; it felt much like pins and needles stabbing into my toe.

What Causes Arthritis
Genetics
while it is believed that genetics contribute, no one is certain how much. It is highly likely that genetic variations can contribute to the cause.
- Age
Cartilage becomes more brittle as we age, lowering its capacity to repair itself. As women grow older, they often suffer from low bone density, or osteoporosis, a form of arthritis.
- Weight
Arthritis results from pain and swelling of our joints. If we are overweight, our joints have more weight to support, and the extra support needed can cause that pain and inflammation. Consequently, obesity can lead to the development of arthritis.

Natural Remedies
Gout natural remedies are often times more effective than commercial medications. Additionally, most have either no side effect at all, or very few which are mild. Obviously, the best thing to do would be to prevent gout occurrences as much as possible. However, the proverbial "apple a day" doesn't always keep that doctor away. Look for the following gout natural remedies in just about any grocery store!
