oys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, presenter of Uncorked & Unplugged, one of the Valley’s premier annual taste events, is pleased to announce the extensive entertainment and culinary lineup including restaurant and beverage partners, entertainers and more, scheduled for this year’s event. Taking place under the stars at Desert Ridge Marketplace on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a post-party immediately following, all event proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. “We have so many great culinary options that we couldn’t help but bring in the best of the best in wine and spirits as well. With the support of Alliance Beverage and Diageo Chateau & Estates Wine again this year, we know we accomplished just that,” said Allen Thompson, co-chair of Uncorked & Unplugged.
As such, this year’s event will include some new features such as a champagne tasting, scotch tasting, international wine tasting, reserve wine sampling and much more. A sampling of the wines and spirits being poured during the event:

In addition to gourmet foods and beverages, the event will also feature three stages of live entertainment with some of the best and brightest bands in the Valley including Rock Lobster, appearing at Uncorked & Unplugged for a record sixth time and performing a bevy of ultimate 80s retro covers at the post-party; The JJ’s Band, a nine-musician band known for high-energy sets featuring the best of the disco, classic soul, Motown and dance hits performing on the main stage throughout the event; The Nate Williams Band, an acoustic-based funk, reggae and rock band performing on the Executive Club stage; and EastonAshe’s, who are fresh off an appearance on Simon Cowell’s X Factor and have shared the stage with likes of Collective Soul, the Doobie Brothers, Daniel Powter, will be performing on the east stage.
Hensley and Company will be partnering with AAA Cabs to offer guests a complimentary cab ride home from the event. Cabs will also be available the following morning to take guests back to their cars.
Tickets for the event start at $75, with proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. There is also a $150 executive club ticket available that includes access to the main event and the exclusive executive club as well as a private post party beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.uncorkedandunplugged.org. Tickets will also be available for purchase the night of the event. This is a 21 and older event, proper ID required.
