From professional bodybuilders to the amateur, supplements can aid your muscle building as long as you do your homework and understand supplements. The biggest one is protein. Creatine is a protein compound that fuels our muscles. Bodybuilders consume creatine monohydrate to supplement their creatine levels. Advantages of creatine can include lean muscle mass gains, increased performance during high intensity workouts and faster recovery time in regards to muscle fatigue. Creatine will develop your muscles
faster, better and larger than before.

The second biggest supplement is glutamine. Found in large supply in the muscle tissue, L Glutamine is an amino acid. Glutamine has many functions in the body. It is necessary for the immune system to battle sickness. It helps promote the process of HGH(Human Growth Hormone), which is they key to fat metabolization and muscle development. And most importantly it is responsible for maintaining a muscle maintenance and nitrogen balance. The most popular and most used supplements are proteins. This is due to the fact that protein is the simplest building block for muscle. Typically, per pound we require 1 to 2 grams of protein. lower carb OR weight gaining formulas are sold.

Whey Protein is a very popular supplement. It is used post-workout and is easily digested. Casein is difficult to digest so it is usually taken at night. Anywhere between 3-8 hours to absorb. Egg protein is the most economic and most abundant form of protein. Another option is soy. You can also find supplements that are a combination of all these proteins and they provide the highest level of protein intake and are convenient.

testosterone is another form of supplement. Called Pro-hormones, they aid the increase of strength and mass. 4-AD (Androstenediol) is a common pro-hormone. The liver converts it to testosterone. It is taken prior to exercising and allows you to complete more intense weight training or cardio workouts. This is accomplished through raising the oxygen levels supplied to muscles and speeding up cell repair to slow muscle loss. Weightlifters who want to add blood flow to the muscles to promote healthier nutrient processing might use Nitric oxide. This is most valuable when the muscles become stressed from overuse. Speeding up the flow of these nutrients repairs the muscles faster than it happens naturally.

Tissue repair can be supplemented with Growth Hormones. Along with increased energy, fat reduction and muscle growth. Basically growth hormones are the key element in bodybuilding. They also are essential as you get older because the body produces less natural hormones necessary to promote muscle development.

These are some of the types of supplements and information on how they work. They are necessary to maximize your full potential to develop muscle. Diet, exercise and lifestyle are three important factors of developing your muscle mass. Supplements, like all vitamins and minerals, are the way to balance all of these elements and maintain the positive environment for muscle gain.
