CANADA, Feb 28 — Unofficially the Olympics are over. At least according to hockey fans. Once again the game of hockey is dominated by the Canadian team. LETS GO CANADA! CANADA has won it in overtime

nofficially the olympics are over. At least according to hockey fans. Once again the game of hockey is dominated by the Canadian team. Although it has been 20 years since the last win, hockey has always been ours. With Luongo in net the Canadian team has achieved victory in the final game of the Olympics. With a loss to the American team earlier it was a toss up weather the Canadian team could pull it off and achieve Olympic gold. It is this authors personal belief that the American goalie (Ryan Miller) was definitely on a hot streak during the first game that they faced each other in.
Canadians may be brothers in arms, but they are definitely not brothers on the ice. Their has never been an alliance as close as the one between Canada and the U.S.A. but there is such an overwhelming desire to win and such camaraderie among Canadians that all of these former alliances are forgotten. Roberto Luongo. Need I say more? His excellence in net has led our team to victory in all of the games that he has been in. The few goals that snuck past him have been bouncers that no other goalie could deal with even if they had been equipped with lazers.
LOUUUUUUUUU! This final game in the tournament has been so close that anyone could win it at any time and with Canada ahead for the entire game except the final thirty seconds when the American team tied it up and headed the game into overtime. Never has a game been so stressful as this experience. Hockey fans and haters alike have joined their voices together to cheer for the Canadian team. twenty four seconds from gold and the Americans have somehow manged to sneak one past Luongo.
This disappointment is covering the Canadian landscape like a blanket of snow. I am writing this article as I watch the game and I am on the edge of my seat in the hopes that Canada can pull one off and win the medal that they deserve to win. Normally I just write for icefishingpro.com but this tournament has inspired me.
The first five minutes of this incredible overtime match have been played solely Americas half of the rink. LETS GO CANADA! CANADA has won it in overtime. Congratulations to all of the Canadian players and to all of the fans that have stuck by the Canadian team and have shown incredible support in this tourg game against a formidable opponent.
