After four hours, 25 percent of the sperm were no longer swimming and nine percent showed significant DNA damage. The culprit? After four hours, 25 percent of the sperm were no longer swimming and nine percent showed significant DNA damage. The culprit? “I think that is a stretch. Most men will not tolerate a hot laptop on their lap for very long. So in fact, there have been no studies to show that a laptop sitting on the lap cause infertility,” said urologist Dr. Andrew McCullough.
It is also a stretch to think fertility is affected by sitting in heated car seats, but high temperatures in the long term could.
