UNITED STATES, Feb 03 — In a report in the medical journal "Fertility and Sterility," scientists from Argentina conducted an experiment, placing semen under a laptop. After four hours, 25 percent of the sperm were no longer swimming and nine percent showed significant DNA damage. The culprit? “I think that is a stretch. Most men will not tolerate a hot laptop on their lap for very long. So in fact, there have been no studies to show that a laptop sitting on the lap cause infertility,” said urologist Dr. Andrew McCullough.
It is also a stretch to think fertility is affected by sitting in heated car seats, but high temperatures in the long term could.
