The simple fact is, you can achieve this goal without spending large amounts of money. An alternative is to select a gift that creates a lasting, positive memory about you, your company or brand. One way this can be done, without spending a lot, is through fun or humorous gifts.
A fun or humorous gift can be so much more memorable than traditional corporate gifts that seem like all the rest. One universal trait you can always rely on is humor. Making someone laugh or smile will go a long way to projecting that positive image of your brand or company. There is a reason why the best TV commercials are the funny ones. Like those commercials, you want your corporate gifts to invoke emotions that are positive when ever your company or brand is mentioned. Also, your fun or humorous business gift will more likely be discussed and shown to others. Providing a very useful marketing tool that will increase your company’s recognition.
The only drawback you have to watch out for is the type of humor you portray with your gift. Inappropriate humor, while sometimes the funnest, is not your best option. You do not want to cross any line and have the opposite effect you are trying to achieve. Getting a gift that is funny and being sure no negative feelings arises can be a tricky balance for some. The best thing to do is focus your corporate gift around something that you know professionally about the recipient. Inside jokes are great because it helps to build on both your professional and personal relationship you have with the recipient. And when in doubt, if you can not think of a humorous gift that is appropriate, it is best to avoid the idea altogether and go with something more traditional.
However, the overall benefits to giving a fun or humorous corporate gift, outweighs any drawbacks or misgiving you may have. Whether it is an inside joke or an appropriate gift which is universally funny; that gift will have a lasting impression. And positive impressions about your company or brand can only provide positive results to your success.
