Most people look forward to the weekly or bi-weekly paycheck.  They like the security that it brings.  They may never be rich or financially independent, but it beats wondering how to pay the bills if the money is scarce.  There may come a time when it is time to move on from that job, or worse lose that job and wonder where the next paycheck will come from.  That would be the time to wonder how to make money without working for someone else. When you work for yourself, many times you can make more money than you would make by working for someone else. 
 
When considering how to make money without working for someone else, there are three things to give thought to.  What skills do you have, what do you enjoy doing, and what opportunities are available?  Not everyone is meant to be in their own business, or is in a position to go into business, whether starting a business from nothing or buying an existing business.  There are opportunities available; it is just a matter of being open to all of the possibilities. 
 
There are those who work hard for someone else and truly enjoy working and doing their very best.  Then, there are those who work hard, but question why they are only making a limited amount of money and their boss is making the lion’s share of the profit.  The boss may not even be making a profit, but not everyone sees it this way.  At one time or another, just about everyone contemplates how to make money without working for someone else.  The answer depends on what skills are available, what is the passion, and how far would you go to achieve success.  In a roundabout way, we all work for someone else.  We are all ultimately working for the customer, no matter what profession you happen to be in.  If you have a business mowing lawns, you are working for the homeowner, even though you are working for yourself. 
 
Entrepreneurs work for themselves, and take the risk of making money, not making money, or losing money.  The challenge is how to make money without working for someone else.  That is a challenge that has been taken up by many people over the years.  There is opportunity all around, if we recognize it.  Find a need and fill it, have been the six words that have been responsible for many fortunes, for if you can figure out what people need and find a way to get it to them you will be rewarded.  Look around for the opportunities, which are surely there.  While one person is lamenting the “fact” that there is no opportunity, another person is busy working on a worthwhile venture and making money.  There is an old saying that you can make money or you can make excuses, but you can’t make both.  You can make money working for someone else, or you can take the bull by the horns and make your own financial security.  Be optimistic and you will figure out how to make money without working for someone else.
