THAILAND, Apr 03 — Khao Sok is a lovely place to visit during the monsoon season and usually the tourist numbers go down during the monsoon season and most people dont like the rain and its not really great weather for the tropical beaches which is understandable. But there is so many other things to do in the monsoon season in Thailand, the jungle and rainforst in Khao sok is still an amazing place to visit. You will need to take greater care but that only adds to the adventure in the wild, their truly is no better place in Southern Thailand than the Khao Sok national park during this time. If you have been to Khao Sok before in the dry season and loved it, I say trying going in the wet season and experience the difference

Monsoon season is where it rains practically every day and it also know as the wet season. Thailsn’s tourist number do drop but there are some other great places to explore in Southern Thailand during the monsoon season like Khao Sok which is only a few hours away from Phuket. Its a beautiful rainforest which is even more diverse than the amazon rainforest and is still a beautiful place to visit in the wet season. I mean it is natural and being in Khao sok with the natural wildlife does give you a different experience. Going on some of the tours and being out in the open bush with the rain in my opinion is a great feeling and is an experience in its self.
So you can visit Khao Sok anytime of the year, it is not like the beaches where you only need dry weather, the forest can be great in the rain as you can also smell the freshness of the soil, trees and that natural bush smell. I also think it makes the adventure that little bit more of an adventure too.
So if you in Thailand in monsoon season and looking for a great place to go, I would give Khao Sok a go because of how beautiful it still can be in the wet season. If you have been to Khao Sok before in the dry season and loved it, I say trying going in the wet season and experience the difference. You will love it.
