For the client’s point of view in hiring an agent, experience is important because it means that he/she has gone through many different problems. Given this, you are more assured that your agent will be able to anticipate problems and prevent it from manifesting, thus lessening the hassles that may occur without running anywhere else for advice. Another thing they lie about is the Real Estate Listings.
This is considered as the backbone of experienced real estate agents. Some agents misrepresent listings as their own when in fact they are not. They do this to gain their client’s trust and impress them. Agents generally advertise their specialty but some of it is mere fake statements. For example, he or she might claim to be a specialist at selling homes on a neighborhood that is trendy when in fact, he or she have not sold such even a single unit or maybe an exclusive home specialist but never sold any in that price range. Some also advertise they are FHA specialist but still, it is a huge lie.
Knowing these stuffs, maybe you will find it hard to trust your agent. However, how would you know if your agent is telling the truth or just fooling you to make you say “yes” to them? Some tips would include looking up an agent’s Real Estate License. With this, you can verify if your agent has a good reputation in the industry. Get a copy of the agent’s Production Record, in this way you will be able to know how well he or she performs and discover if everything your agent told you about his/her experiences are true. With this information, you can research everything you need to know. After you have found out if your agent has been honest or telling lies from the very beginning, the decision is up to you if you still find him or her trustworthy. So be careful and be a smart decision-maker.
