THAILAND, Mar 30 — Thailand have a wide range on animals all around the country, The Asian elephant is probably the most popular with tourists but a close second would have to the the monkeys in Thailand. The little monkeys are fascinating as they are very similar to humans in a lot of ways and you have to admit they are kind of cute as well. The main species in Thailand are the Macaque monkeys which there is also 22 different types.
So when your in Thailand monkeys can be found pretty much anywhere or you wont be too far to see them, these 2 species of monkeys are the cutest and definitely worth the effort to go and see

These monkeys can been seen pretty much all over Thailand, even in some places in Bangkok they roam around free. If you want to feed them there is no shortages of bananas in Thailand and they love them, take a bunch or 2 and they will become your best friend until you run out.
One thing you need to remember is they can appear very friendly and also be very naughty and may try to steal anything off you so make sure all your belonging are secured. The Macaque is well known for taking many peoples sunglasses and you usually will not get them back. Do not try and provoke them too as they might be small, but in big groups they can be dangerous.
There is one type of money found down south called the Spectacled Langur which is also known as a dusky leaf monkey. A lot of them are found in the rain forest in Khao Sok national park and I would have to say the cutest and most friendly monkeys in Thailand. Khao sok have a large range of animals but these monkeys are definitely special. They are only about 50 cms tall and weigh from 5 to 10 kgs. They are quite friendly and you can easily feed them at times.
So when your in Thailand monkeys can be found pretty much anywhere or you wont be too far to see them, these 2 species of monkeys are the cutest and definitely worth the effort to go and see.
Just remember to always have all your belongings secured because the last thing you want is to lose a camera or something that will have your memories of your holidays.
