Japanese children’s mini cycles are mainly aimed at children, so are good as a first version, where updates can be made as they get older and have more experience. This can be quite expensive and take up a lot of time, but some people prefer to do this than purchasing a production pit bike.
The first production Pit Bikes became available around the year of 2003, so there was no need to convert Japanese mini cycles anymore. The design of this SDG Speed Mini was based around the Honda CRF-50, but with a bigger engine and higher handle bars. It also has a stronger suspension and many other benefits.
At the end of 2004, the Pitster Pro was introduced and from then on many more versions and models came onto the market. The interest from the public started to grow from there. Nowadays, there are many pit bikes available to purchase, which includes SSR, Pitster Pro, Piranha, Pit Pro and G2 Moto.
