UNITED STATES, Nov 15 — As we approach yet another New Year, thousands of people across the world will find themselves creating a new list of New Years resolutions for their lives. The only important question is whether they will just simply be a repeat of the previous year or will they actually stick to them this time.
According to Franklin Covey Products’ survey, more than 75% of people who set New Years resolutions will break them within 3 months and almost one-third will break them by the end of January.

For millions of people, the New Year offers an opportunity to push the reset button and start over fresh. It gives you a chance to forget about the mistakes made over the previous 12 months and begin working on creating a new and improved “you” in the new year.
Whether your goal for the New Year is to get out of debt, lose weight, stop smoking, get organized, or develop a healthy habit; your primary focus should be on creating a plan that will allow you to achieve your goals and not end up like one of the people who ultimately fall by the wayside by the third month in. So how exactly do you accomplish this?
By following a simple but powerful 7 step formula for achieving your goals:
Determine exactly what it is that you want to achieve and be as specific as possible.
Write it down. Transfer your goals from your mind onto paper.
Set a deadline for when you intend on achieving your goal.
Make a list of all the activities or steps you must take to reach your goal.
Put your list of activities in order. List what must be done first, second, third, etc.
Take some form of action immediately in order to get the ball rolling.
Do something every day no matter how small, that will move you closer to reaching your goal.
