If you are napping during the afternoon and having a hard time sleeping at night, consider omitting your naps from your routine. This may be hard to stand in the beginning because your body may be tired. This usually fades away as you get yourself used to going through your days without a nap.
Young children have better night sleeps when they have a particular routine they can associate with sleep. This is much the same for adults. If you implement a calming routine before your bedtime the ability to sleep without drugs becomes much easier. Stay away from loud noises or conversations before sleep.
