There are several causes for obesity. The experts know for sure that obesity can be very dangerous if not taken seriously. In this article I will discuss 2 major causes for obesity, mention 2 other factors and provide you with tips and strategies to start curing obesity.
One of the plausible and most frequent causes for obesity is having a high calorie diet. This is one of the negative aspects of our information age. Let’s look at the two main thickeners. Simple sugar and trans fatty acids. Here are some examples of food products you should avoid: crackers, candies, cookies, snack foods, baked goods, fried foods, salad dressings, sweets, biscuits and many processed foods. Eating healthy and low caloric food instead of high caloric food is an important pillar in order to cure obesity. Now that we have discussed high caloric food as a cause, let’s look at the lack of activity.
A lack of physical activity is another of the main causes for obesity. Many people don’t perform exercises, respectively any physical activity. Time spent watching TV, surfing the internet and playing Videogames has been increasing dramatically in the past years. If this problem concerns you, you have to strengthen your will in order to oppose this cause. Performing exercises is a great way to lose weight. Every time you are performing exercises your metabolic rate is increased for several hours. An increased metabolic rate results in an increased fat metabolism and therefore you are burning fat automatically. I suggest you start with 3 workouts per week. Perform at least 20 minutes at a stretch and step up to 40 minutes gradually. After having discussed the two major causes for obesity, let’s now review two other aspects.
Other causes for obesity include the age and gender factor. It has been researched that muscular mass help to burn excess calories. This is one reason why males can burn calories more easily than females can. Observations have revealed that men are likely to burn 10% – 20% more fat than women. In addition, age is another factor that can cause obesity. The older you are the more your muscles start decreasing. Although you can’t control these two causes for obesity, you can affect the two major causes discussed above positively by performing an exercise and eating healthy low caloric food products.
Now that you know more about causes for obesity you will probably approach things in a new way. What you need to do is to focus on the causes which you can control, and try to prevent them to the possible extent. Keeping a low caloric diet on regular basis and performing exercises are two significant pillars in order to oppose the two major causes. There is, of course, much more useful information concerning obesity, especially information on diets. But by putting this information into practice you will be able to control the two major causes for obesity.
