The ones that munch: This might be because of teething, fulfilling there natural instincts, just having fun or they simply chew to comfort themselves when there owner is away.
dog toys must be presented when you start noticing the chewing starts. Say "no" with a commanding tone and immediately replace your shoe(or any other object) with a dog toy. Remember to praise him and repeat until your dog stops chewing.

This usually happens when there's more than one dog and might occur when you have friends over for a visit and could become very annoying but there is a way to stop this bad habit.
Leave the dogs in a room and enter with your friend or friends for about a half a minute(they will be barking). Leave the room from 2 -3 minutes and then return with your friends, when they start barking again leave the room again. Do this consistently till they eventually stop. Some dogs catch on quickly, others might take a while but consistency, once again, is the key.
Dogs are social beings and like to be around people(owners especially) and will catch on that when they bark people leave, an incident every dog hates.
The one thing that you can learn from these tips is.....CONSISTENCY! Be consistent with what ever you are teaching your dog and you will see results in no time.
